Dr. Wai earned his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri in 1984. In addition, he has obtained a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from University of California San Francisco and completed a medical acupuncture course at University of California Los Angeles. Most recently Dr. Wai has completed a four-year training program in traditional Chinese medicine at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Prior to joining Deer Valley Medical in 2008, Dr. Wai was in private practice in Phoenix. He was also a staff physician at the Phoenix General Hospital urgent care center.

Dr. Wai is certified by the American Osteopathic Association family practice board and is a member of American Osteopathic Association. He is on staff at both Phoenix hospitals of John C. Lincoln Health Network: Deer Valley Hospital and North Mountain Hospital.
