Dr. Cerato is a Pennsylvania native. He received his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1982, and completed his family practice residency at Hospital of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Cerato served as an urgent care physician in Pennsylvania and in private practice in both Pennsylvania and Arizona before joining the John C. Lincoln Health Network in 2001. He practiced family medicine at Deer Valley Family Practice before joining Deer Valley Medical.

Dr. Cerato is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians and is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association. In 2006, Dr. Cerato was named "Physician of the Year" by John C. Lincoln Health Network.

Dr. Cerato is on staff at John C. Lincoln Deer Valley Hospital.
